Last week we got to take the kids to see this live nativity up in Highland that we found out about at the last minute. It was way cool. We were first greeted by shepherds that pointed the way to go, which we followed, to be met by more shepherds warning of the Roman soldiers. Then we were stopped by the Roman soldiers because they spotted Ryder, and they demanded we tell them how old he was. They were all serious. Then we let the kids pet the camel and we walked through "the streets of Bethlehem". We saw the sheep, and the donkey, and then we were led up the hill to a small stable where Mary and Jesus were, with baby Jesus. It was very neat, I only wish we would have found out about it sooner!

...A Lot Like Christmas
Last weekend we were invited to go on a little train ride called the "Polar Express". It is a little train that you sit on and have a little ride on around 2 or 3 properties owned by this family. They take you to the "North Pole" to see Santa. It was very fun the kids had a blast! Santa had a message of Christ, the true meaning of Christmas and talked to the kids about gifts that you can not wrap. After that the train took us through several scenes of Christ's life through big paintings lit up along the way... very cool.

Little Man Syndrome
I found this video of Ryder and the girls when I was downloading all of my other pictures. Yeah he can pretty much hold his own with all of his sisters. They love to tease him.

Catching up.....
Well here was my last attempt to persuade any Obama supporters to choose the right. I had these up on election day and the day after. No doubt our nation is headed for a new direction, and looking at this great nation's history over the centuries, I'm not sure that is a good thing. All we can do is pray for the best!!
The kids sure had fun trick-or-treating. Here they are at Grandma's house scoring some candy. Mady was a star witch, Skylee was a Vampire, Teagan was Hannah Montana, and Ryder was a little green dragon. I don't know where my pictures of just him are, hopefully my mom has some!!
Beck and Mike came and visited us a few weeks ago. Chase is getting so big!! He really liked Kirby for some reason. The girls ALWAYS love to have Ashlee come. They had a good time dancing in their pajamas.
Grammy started doing "cookie night" at her house. A new tradition that we all love. On this "cookie night" the kids were decorating sugar cookies shaped like pumpkins.
Ryder was so funny, the other day we were at Kirby's parents house and some neighbors came over with their Halloween costumes ranging from gorillas to Hannah Montana, and he was totally fine with all of them until he saw this football mask that Jake was wearing, and he totally flipped out, he was shaking he was soooo scared, we got a good laugh out of it!!
Kirby took mady out to look for deer on the last day of the rifle hunt, she absolutely is the BIGGEST daddy's girl. She loves to spend one on one time with him.
Teagan went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago, she had a blast. She has sure made some good friends in preschool this year!
Mady has been working so hard on her level five routines but that darn kip is giving her grief. She is such a hard worker and so determined, I have no doubt that it won't be long and she'll have it!!

Too much to blog about
So I decided to blog due to the relentless pestering of some (you know who you are). But I decided that too much has gone on the last couple of weeks to pick just one title. So I decided to just do a slide show to sum it up. Just as a quick reference, we went to Lagoon and had a blast at frightmares. The next day it snowed like 2 inches, the kids were thrilled. And lots of just random stuff in between. Kirby put Ryder on the tractor and we practically had to use the jaws of life to get him out. Teagan and Skylee found great amusement in playing with their underwear. Skylee started gymnastics (again). And that's basically the run down on what we have been up to lately. There are you happy now?

NObama
Did anyone else watch this guy babble on like a complete idiot the other night at the first debate. He proved to me anyways, that he really does not have a clue about foreign policy. While Iran is building nukes he wants to invite them for tea and make nice. Are you serious !?! Where did this guy escape from really.....

Well November 4th is not that far away. This is truly one of the most important election years of our lifetime. After seeing this commercial I felt like I needed to share it...

Swimming
Well we dicided to go swimming last night for lack of something better to do. (Whatever it takes to make the whining stop). But we did have a good time the girls are like fish. They would swim every day and never get sick of it. Ryder on the other hand HATES it. You even take him near the water and he starts whining. So he was content to sit with his Dad for most of the night. All in all it was a fun night.

You Go Girl!!
Well John McCain has revealed his VP pick. Sarah Palin, what a woman!! I was very impressed with her after watching her acceptance speech. Yeah her daughter that is 17 and pregnant isn't married, but last I checked it isn't her thats running for VP. I don't know everything about her, but what I do know I like. How often do we get to elect a mother of five that has been married for 20 years to the Vice Presidency? So lets make history!! Don't forget to vote November 4th!!

School Days
Well it's official, summer is over. The girls were all so excited to start school (and to be honest I was equally excited). I love this time of year. We seem to have lucked out so far on all of the teachers. I have only heard great things about all of them.

Back to School Night
Mady and Skylee got to meet their teachers Thursday night. Skylee's teacher wil be Miss Funk (skylee thinks that is a funny name, "sounds like skunk"). Mady's new teacher is Mrs. Stevenson. (She looks like she could be a WNBA player), she's pretty tall, but seems very nice. They were very excited to meet their new teachers.

Dude Where's My Hair???
I figured since it was almost time for school to start that I would take the girls to get a haircut. Skylee wanted a pretty drastic change and so Teagan kind of followed her lead. Mady on the other hand didn't even want a trim, but she agreed reluctantly to get one. Even Ryder and Daddy got hair cuts.
